A beer festival in Winter? You betcha! Head to Bendigo with us to celebrate its first winter craft beer festival. Delicious beers. Great food. Fabulous music. Good times. What better way to spend a Winter's day?
Bendigo On The Hop is a new day-long festival that will having meandering through the historic streets and buildings around Bendigo City. Covering a flat walking course of 1.2km and 10 venues, flash your your Bendigo Beer Passport to a free sample of each unique beer on offer (most of which are one-off beers brewed exclusively for this event) from some of Australia's best breweries.
You will have the opportunity purchase additional beer tastings and local produce samples matched to the beers, talk to the brewers and be entertained by acoustic and electronic artists. And when its all done the festival continues late into the night with the
official after party at Black Swan Hotel - free to holders of a Bendigo Beer Passport!
Want to come and play but head home the same day? Sure, we can manage that. Keen to get away but beer isn't really your thing? Hey, we've got you covered, too - just choose the option that suits when registering.
Accommodation:For those planning on staying the night, we have secured apartment style accommodation within walking distance from the town centre, but taxis are of course available if you're feeling a little worse for wear. Price is based on twin share accommodation, but single upgrade is available if preferred.
Getting there.We are looking to organise car pooling if possible so if you are able to offer a ride, or need a ride, please let us know when registering. Otherwise we will be catching the train. Trains to Bendigo depart Southern Cross Station hourly and operate on the
MYKI system, so please ensure you have sufficient funds on your card.
Festival tickets include a souvenir glass, program and a tasting of each craft beer.
So come for the beer, stay for the night and maybe visit local galleries and attractions that Bendigo is famous for following day. Whether you're a craft beer geek into all things beer or a complete novice, this is sure to be something everyone will enjoy!
