So what are you doing tonight? If you don’t have plans yet, you might want to come out with us and celebrate International Beer Day
- a Beertastic holiday for the people, by the people!
International Beer Day is a celebration of that frothy wonderful beverage the whole world loves. Because Beer is a beverage enjoyed by the entire world and brewed on virtually every inhabited continent, the Earth was long overdue to have a single international holiday celebrating Beer's greatness. To meet this need, International Beer Day was created in 2007 so that all of humanity could be united every August 5th, in celebration of Beer!
Join us for a golden beverage or two to celebrate at Penny Blue
, an upmarket beer venue in the CBD, which gets its name from a tiny 19th-century square of paper - the blue one penny stamp.
Although it looks like a typical Melbourne cocktail bar, Penny Blue is all about beer. Imported, micro-brewed, limited edition, boutique; if it involves hops, yeast and barley, they stock it. With over seven pages worth of beers on the drinks menu, they really do have one of the city's best selections.
For those of you not so keen on beer, but still wanting to be part of the action, there's quite an extensive wine list and enough cocktails to see you through.
So join us for a great night out, because we all need another excuse to drink beer! Look for Kerrie-Anne at Penny Blue. All food & drinks at own expense.
