LOVE beer? Like bocce? Come try your hand at a game of bocce at the Local Taphouse's Brooklyn Bocce League night - there are great prizes on offer and good fun to be had!
Requiring skill, strategy and just a little luck, bocce
is an ancient game, whose modern adaptation most closely resembles bowling. The indoor bocce court at the Taphouse is an Australian first and we like that it is located so conveniently to the bar!
The Local Taphouse
is one of our favourite venues, with 20 beers on tap every day (check the website
to see the current tap listing) and plenty by the bottle too, you're sure to find something you've not had before. Tasting paddles of five decent sized tastes are good value if you're not sure what you like.
Even if you don’t dig beer, all is not lost - there is always a tap dedicated to cider and there is also a wine list available, albeit not as well publicised!
The Taphouse kitchen caters from to the moderately hungry (try the toasted ciabatta with pastrami and melted cheese) to the absolutely starving (lamb pie, steak frites and chilli con carne), and is a wallet friendly option, with most meals pulling in at around the $20 mark.
So come along and join us on a fine spring evening for something different and a bit of fun. Did we mention there's a free can of Brooklyn lager in it for you just for registering to play?
Look for your host in the bocce room (to the left of the bar). All food and drinks at own expense.
