Leaps & Bounds Music Festival: Mikelangelo & the Tin Star and The Blackeyed Susans

Join us for a great afternoon of blues and roots music with Mikelangelo & the Tin Star and The Blackeyed Susans in a matinee doublebill at Melbourne's iconic Corner Hotel as part of the new Leaps and Bounds Music Festival.

Sounding like they have barrelled straight out of a classic Tarantino film, Mikelangelo and the Tin Star are all blazing tremolo guitars and thundering drums. Frontman Mikelangelo is part 50′s crooner, part beast possessed – the debonair bastard love child of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Lux Interior, with a voice deeper than the deep blue sea and the sharpest suit collection this side of the equator.

The Blackeyed Susans need little introduction to Melbourne audiences, their songs are a beloved part of the firmament of Australian music and every show they play is a memorable event.

This very special doublebill will be an afternoon full of surprise guests and collaborations and amazing music, also featuring dream pop chanteuse St Clare and dark western rockers The Mightiest Of Guns.

Meet your host in the Corner Hotel rooftop bar to grab a drink or two and/or a bite to eat before we make our way downstairs for the gig. Price includes show ticket only, all food and drinks at own expense.
