Kick start your weekend with a few drinks and an overload of some of Melbourne's best disco funk and hipster groove bands at The Espy Front Bar.

A physical landmark in St Kilda, and a cultural icon to Australia, the Espy is home to long standing tradition of live music and this Friday night is no exception with the lineup including The Vaudeville Smash, supported by Sex on Toast, Passerine and Deep Street Soul who are fresh from their European tour including a gig at Glastonbury.

Here's what some in-the-know folk have to say about the line-up....

"Vaudeville Smash are exactly what live music is all about, for God's sake. If you don't love them, you're an idiot." - Zoe Radas - Beat Magazine (Melbourne)

"Sex On Toast are probably the greatest band on earth. They are nine men, and between them they possess all the raw sexual power of Prince, the musical prowess of James Brown and the cheesy goodness of an ‘80s game show host."  - Kate Kingsmill - themusic.com.au

"Deep Street Soul are without a doubt the grittiest funk band in Australia!" - Chris Gill - Northside Records

So grab your boogie shoes on shake your groove thang for some great live music that's sure to keep you you dancing all night!

Look for your host out in the front bar. All food and drinks at own expense. Band kicks off at 9pm.
