Named after a Polish novel, Ferdydurke is an eclectic little number, to say the least, delivering a righteous way to spend your Tuesday evening with a night of live Jazz music in front of the fireplace.

August brings La Mauvaise Réputation, formed in 2009 with the aim of recreating the beautiful French music of the 20s, 30s and 40s.  Their repertoire features songs from the greats of that period including Charles Trenet and Edith Piaf, as well as more modern additions from artists such as Serge Gainsbourg and Les Ogres du Barback.

They perform in the jazz manouche/hot swing style made famous by Parisian jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt.  The music is joyous and infectious; the rhythms will make you feel like dancing, and the melodies are plucked out of the heart of old Europe.

The repertoire is performed in French, staying true to the music as originally conceived.

Add to the mix soul warming drink specials and Ferdydurke's famous booze flavoured Hot Dogs, you've got yourself a groovy night out in speakeasy style and a cruisy New Orleans vibe.

Look for your host by the upstairs bar. All food and drinks at own expense.
