Music for the People - Brunswick Music Festival Closing Party

Celebrate the closing of the annual Brunswick Music Festival with a spectacular line-up of multicultural artists.

Music for the People offers something for everyone with a selection of culturally diverse acts ranging from zydeco to folk and from hip-hop to gypsy, interactive sessions and market stalls.

Melbourne music doyenne, Kylie Auldist, will perform as the headline act with her seven-piece funk band the Glenroy Allstars, while the rest of the lineup includes musical offerings from upbeat Colombian percussion ensemble La Descarga, New Orleans zydeco band Gator Queen, a mix of Jamaican and UK hip-hop from Lotek, contemporary and traditional Turkish group Seven Seas Music and Kazband, an Eastern European gypsy outfit.

There will also be dance performances by internationally acclaimed street dance crew Jigsaw Sneakers, the passionate Cuban dance group A Contra, and Polish folkloric dance group Polonez.

Music For The People offers something for everyone! So come along to enjoy a celebration of cultural riches. Don't forget your dancing shoes!
