Southern Style BBQ (Margaritas optional!) & Lawn Bowls afternoon

Summer may be gone, but we're not about to let go of it quite that easily! Head on over to Princes Park Bowls Club in North Carlton with us to chow down on some seriously good southern-style barbecue cooked over a real-wood-fired barbecue from the folks at Fancy Hanks.

From barbecue pork ribs and big old beef ribs, through to beef brisket cooked low and slow for more than 14 hours and smoky pulled pork shoulder sandwiches, they've got all the classics covered. Salads such as zucchini, goat's cheese and farro, potato and coleslaw add crunch, plus there are frozen margaritas for $10, and vodka with watermelon, mint and chilli from the Margaritaville bar.

So come down for a bowl, or just some cheap beer at the club and enjoy the sunshine while you still can. Bring a picnic rug to sit on while you enjoy your BBQ fare and flat-soled shoes if you intend to bowl.

Look for your host at the venue entrance - latecomers will need to find the group inside. Bowling is $15 for three hours, all food and drinks at own expense.
