Weekend away - Rutherglen Winery Walkabout & regional brewery tour

Looking to get away for the Queen's birthday long weekend? Fancy tucking into some good food great wine and perhaps some craft beer while you're at it? Then why not come along with us to Albury, Rutherglen and surrounds to sample, great craft beer and world-class wines and great food as part of the Rutherglen Winery walkabout.

A rough itinery is likely to be as follows (subject to change):

Day 1 (Saturday):
Meet at Federation Square then drive to Albury-Wodonga stopping off Glenrowan to visit Black Dog Brewery craft brewery and Taminick Cellars. On arrival in Albury, we check into our motel accommodation then spend the rest of afternoon taking in the sights of Albury, before heading off for dinner and drinks at Bamboo Dumpling Bar.

Day2 (Sunday):
Up bright and early and shake off the cobwebs for breakfast at the motel restaurant (for those who feel up to it) then off to catch the shuttle bus to take us to Rutherglen for the winery walkabout (route to be decided once we reach Rutherglen). After spending the day sampling crisp table wines, warming reds and world-class Muscats, we head back to Albury to get ready for dinner.

Day 3 (Monday):
Check out of motel and make our way back to Melbourne via Bridge Road Brewery in Beechworth and Milawa Cheese Company to sample the goods.
