Nothing screams Sunday like a lazy morning brunch and a trip to the farmers market to stock up for the week and to indulge in local handmade goods.
The Substation Farmers' Market is the latest venture for
Melbourne Farmers’ Markets, which also runs long-established markets at Collingwood Children's Farm, Abbotsford Convent and Gasworks Arts Park and offers just that.
At The Substation Farmers' Market in Newport, you can get fresh produce and handmade local foods straight from the farmer to you! Fruit, veggies, eggs, meat, nuts, cheese and specialty products such as kombucha, crumpets, kale chips, dips, cider and more! Check out the
list of stallholders to see just what you have to look forward to!
Before we head to the market, we'll enjoy a lazy Sunday brunch (or coffee if you prefer) at local cafe,
Nosh @ Newport. Nosh @ Newport is one of those great cafes, with a relaxed vibe. The
breakfast menu range is good, with plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options available and of course, excellent coffee!
Look for your host at the cafe. All food and drinks at own expense.
