Join us a fun filled Friday night on a spooky night of Friday 13th at an old pub that was built way back in 1860 in the grounds of an orchard that grew both cherries and cherry tomatoes.

This great little pub has a beer garden area and is hidden amongst the back streets of Richmond but is within walking distance from Richmond station. It has been described as being as architecturally significant as the Dimmeys building but with twice the splendour.

This iconic and historic pub is a great place to celebrate Friday night with a warm and welcoming atmosphere and 22 taps of mostly craft beer, with a decent wine menu and a good pub menu including burgers, parmas, steaks and wood fired pizzas.

Join us for a day trip to the picturesque village of Woodend about an hour from Melbourne by train to enjoy lunch at Victoria Hotel and visit the rural village of Woodend, also taking in a few beers at The Holgate Brewhouse if you wish.

Victoria Hotel has a good range of pub meals and has good online reviews and we have booked lunch for 1.15pm.

Woodend has cosmopolitan cafes, book stores an eclectic shopping mix of old and new wares for all tastes, including the award winning vanilla slices at Bourkies Bakehouse, local gourmet treats from the village delis, local fruit and organic veggies and all manner of options for barista quality coffee.

There is also the Holgate Brewhouse that combines a brewery, public bar, restaurant and hotel under a single roof, relax and kick-back in the friendly atmosphere of the cosy bar and lounge.

Please make sure your Myki is topped up with the correct fare or purchase a V-line ticket for the journey. We will order lunch on the day at the Victoria Hotel with all food and drinks at own expense with a booking at 1.15pm.

Join us for a special movie night at the Astor to see Megalopolis 2024 that is an American epic science fiction drama film written, directed, and produced by Francis Ford Coppola.

The movie is set in an imagined modern United States, it follows visionary architect Cesar Catilina (Driver) as he clashes with the corrupt Mayor Franklyn Cicero (Esposito) in determining how to rebuild the metropolis of New Rome after a devastating disaster.

In development for decades, Megalopolis comes from Coppola's desire to make a film drawing parallels between the fall of Rome and the future of the United States.

The film stars Adam Driver, Giancarlo Esposito, Nathalie Emmanuel, Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Voight, Laurence Fishburne, Talia Shire, Jason Schwartzman, Kathryn Hunter, Grace VanderWaal, Chloe Fineman, James Remar, D. B. Sweeney, and Dustin Hoffman.

The Astor is one of the last single screen movie palaces in the world transporting you to a time when going to the movies was an event and it has just been recent being re-vamped although retains many of its grand art deco features.

Tickets purchased can generally be purchased on the night or buy in advance. The price is $17 for Palace Club members that you can join for free. Tickets are unreserved so we can sit as a group on the night.

Tram 5 and Tram 78 stops by the cinema and the Astor theatre is only 3 minutes from Windsor Station.

This centrally located venue in Melbourne is an awesome place to watch sport and meet friends for drinks and meals. This year we have chosen this venue again to watch the AFL Grand Final and combine all of them.

The venue has everything we need to enjoy the day with a traditional pub menu has plasma screens and also some big screens to watch the game. Katy Perry will be the music entertainment for the final.

The venue serves old fashioned pub meals and has been given good reviews for its food and service and we enjoyed last years AFL Grand final at this venue, so we have reserved the same area again.

The Central Lion has all the big sporting events shown on the screens and the venue is very convenient for public transport with Central Train Station in the complex and all the trams that run down Swanston Street.

The Sherlock Holmes opened in 1985 and the hostelry has been extremely well received, as have its comestibles, ales wines and spirits. With over a dozen wineries should be participating this year, it’s the perfect way to enjoy local produce and the most exquisite local wines.

With expertly matched cuisine, wine tastings and music, you can plan your day progressing from appetizers to dessert with dishes around $10 - $25 to enjoy a range of food options at each winery.

Our exclusive tour will depend on the weather on the day and the outline of wineries have been listed below. We plan to visit four/five wineries and adjusted the wineries to be all different to Shortest lunch festival held in June.

We plan to visit 4 or 5 wineries on Sunday in our exclusive tour with the proposed route covering Helen's Hill Estate, (Whispering Hills / Seville Hill), Seville Estate and Six Acres Winery.

The price includes return transport from Melbourne, transport around our selected wineries and festival entry price for the day that includes tastings at each of the selected wineries and a complimentary tasting glass. All meals at own expense.
